Yakety Yak

And don’t talk back! Hello friends! I write to you this chilly thursday evening to ask a deep question that has been pressing on my cranium for some time now. Have you ever felt you were born in the wrong era?

I’m talking like full on, I should not have been born this late! kinda feeling. I feel as though i’m trapped in the wrong time frame, maybe like I was transported here in a time machine, completely random I know, but come on, has anyone ever felt this way?! And if so, when do you think you should have been born?

I’m thinking any time in the 1940’s or 1950’s would have been just fine. The music, the dress, just completely captivates me. There are various movies that when I watch, I just go into this “oldies” mode, and go turn on all my old music and do the mashed potato. Some of the movies include, The Notebook, Hairspray, Grease, oh my goodness, Grease haha. Soooooo good! And I can’t seem to think of any others. But if you guys have some good suggestions for my eyes to view i’d love to hear them! I always have time for a good hearty movie. Well that’s for all friends but be on the lookout for an update on the family, it’s parents weekend starting tomorrow, so you’ll get a full detail report next week! Have a great weekend guys! Blessings

Heather

What about t.v. shows…I’m not from the era either, but there were (still are on TV Land) some really good shows…Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, the Carol Burnett Show…yup, hilarious and ok to watch with anybody!

A great movie to watch from the 40’s or 50’s? Too many options! One I would highly recommend is “The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer” made in 1947, starring Cary Grant, Myrna Loy and Shirley Temple. There are tons of others that I would recommend, if you wanted, some from the early 40’s or the 30’s. Enjoy the movie!
